There are four main poster sizes, which are very common and frequently offered for poster printing. In many cases you will see 11” x 17” for small posters, 18” x 24” for medium sizes and 24” x 36” or 27” x 39” for large posters. These sizes are well-established as an international standard poster size. Custom sizes are also available.
Simply put, a copyright prohibits others from copying your work without your permission.
Original literary, dramatic, musical or artistic work such as books, plays, songs, paintings, safety instructions, Web pages, how-to manuals and a prospectus are all copyrighted. We cannot duplicate these items unless we have written permission from the originator or the item falls under a copyright exception. Therefore, we reserve the right to refuse duplication of any of these copy written items.

We prefer PDF file format with bleed and crop marks.
Image Resolution: Images used in any file should have a resolution of 300dpi or higher. Lower resolutions result in a poor quality image print. We discourage using images that are copied from the Internet; they are normally 72dpi and not suitable for print.
Embedding Font and Images: Fonts should embedded in .PDF files.
Vector versus Raster: Vector images will retain their high quality at any size. Vector images should be used for all text and logos if possible.
Raster images are composed of a collection of tiny dots called pixels. When these pixels are small, and placed close together, they fool the eye into forming a single image. Because they contain a fixed number of pixels, a major disadvantage of raster images is that their quality suffers when they are enlarged or otherwise transformed.
We would also recommend fonts and logos to be vector for print with maximum clarity.
Bleed: A 1/8” (3 mm) bleed is required on all four sides of your artwork. This means you must extend any image or graphics past the edges of the printed piece. (Ex. a business card is 3.5”x 2”, but the file required to print a batch of business cards is 3.75”x 2.25”) Failing to provide bleed information and crop marks can result in the printed product showing a thin area of white on the edge after cutting.
Safe Margins: All critical elements (text, images, logos, borders*, etc.) must be kept 1/8” (3 mm) away from the edge of the printed piece. Safe margins are guidelines that help you keep important elements of your design away from the edge of your artwork in order that text and images will not be cut off when trimmed down to the final size.
*Document Borders: For products such as business cards, we recommend customers avoid borders. If the border is too close to the cut-line, it may result in the final product being slightly off centre.
